Now that was fun!


Block #1 of Bunny Hill Designs, A Tisket a Tasket...FINISHED! Okay everyone, this is a fun, fast and easy project to tackle. I picked out my wool, cut out the pieces and glued them down to the background in about an hour last night. Stitched them today and voila! Use whatever method of applique you like to do and have at it! For those of you who have never used wool, next month I'll try to remember to take pictures as I go along and do a little tutorial for you. Sorry I didn't do it this time but I didn't think about it until I read some of your comments and emails asking me how to work with wool. It's easy...trust me! So, now you know that you can get these blocks done in no time.     Oh, it's darling! How I wish I could enjoy working with wool. Sigh! I finished mine today, too. WooHoo! And, yes it was lots of fun.

    I just vowed not to start any new projects until I get a few finished....but its a snowman and you know I LOVE snowmen!
    think thats a good enough excuse to do yet another project????

    Oh my gosh, look how fast you did that! And it's stinkin' cute! I may have to give it a go with wool, but I'll have to use wool on cotton, I don't have a huge wool stash, yet!

    Oh it is so cute in wool. I love it and I really like your snowy picture in the header. I have my pieces preped and a few sewn down. Hopefully I will have it done by the weekend. Thanks for sharing yours. It's adorable.

    I was going to do the snowman in wool and the rest in cotton but I like yours so well I think I will do it all in wool. Did you do the blanketstitch by machine?

    Jane, (Vivian) you are set up as "no reply" so I can't get back to you via email. Before you get started, I just wanted to tell you that I used flannel for the background. I think wool would make the whole quilt a bit too heavy. Also, I did a whip stitch by hand.

    Your block is so cute, Anne! I started Anne's BOM! I saw yours and fell in love with it even harder. Now my problem was what to decide. Wool... or fabric. So I'm doing both! I started mine last night, so I'm hoping to get mine done by today. Oh this is so fun. THanks for the inspiration!

    That came out great! I have never used glue to hold my pieces in place. I guess it depends on the glue?

    Ok Anne, now you've inspired me!! I am going to do mine out of wool too. In fact, I was on a "wool quest" at Road2CA last week and I found some very pretty pieces. Now the real work (I mean fun) begins. I just have to find the perfect background and I am on my way.
