She's home!

A few weeks ago, Betty (Bernina) just stopped running. Found out it was the circuit board. Yikes...what was this going to cost me?

Check this out! All covered under the warranty! Thank you Bernina USA.

Oh, and see that light that's on the left of the machine? It's called The Bendable Bright Light and it's fabulous! I absolutely love mine.

Now I can get back to some piecing. I've been "prepping" lots of hand applique projects to take with me to Seattle after the little guy (grandson) is born. I'll be up there for a couple of weeks to help out after Daddy goes back to work. Hmm, do you think I'll have time for handwork? LOL

  1. Three weeks is a long time without Betty, I have a back up machien but nothing beats the bernina. I think you might be busy on your trip away getting in as many cuddles as possible!

  2. I can see that you are very happy that you did not have to pay for the repair to your machine! It would have been a big bite in your fabric budget!

  7. I had the same problem, Anne, on my Bernina 185 - right at the end of the warranty! Lucky me because it was the entire main board! I'm so glad yours was covered under warranty, too - lucky gals we are!
    Cheers!

  9. Isnt that a nice surprise. Boards are expensive. I replaced the one in my Pfaff years ago.
I've wanted to get one of those bendable lights. Guess I'm going to have to break down and do it.
    No little guy yet huh??
Let me know if this is a no reply Anne. I'm still working on that.

  11. Covered under warranty is always nice to read. I've seen a few quilters with the bendable light. Are they available US wide?

  13. I'm a new quilter and have heard so many great things about the Bernina's. Was this the standard warranty or an extended on that your purchased? Nice to know an expensive repair is covered!

  14. I'm so happy that your repairs are covered...what a relief!!

As for sewing while being with your new grandson...I got a quarter of the baby quilt hand quilted while in Seattle. Mom's and Dad's love doing all the work. The only time I got one on one time with my granddaughter is when I sent the kids out to dinner LOL.
