I thought I’d start this post with some of the charming little vignettes and scenery around town. Then finish (hopefully) with the quilts.
Look! Winter Wonderland and it’s FINISHED! (unfortunately, it’s not mine)
Loved these 30’s reproduction quilts.
a close up.
and the back of Patty’s head! Nice haircut, Patty! LOL
How cute is this?
both of these were in front of the veterinary clinic. Cute!
and these next two remind me how much I love fall.
Are you wondering if this is ever going to end? I sure am. Tee Hee
And these next 3 are by Barbara Copeland who is a local machine quilter. She was the featured machine quilter and has won a lot of awards. She doesn’t have a long arm. She quilts all her quilts on her home machine. It’s hard to see the quilting in the pictures, but trust me…she’s a very talented lady.
We were all drawn to this next one.
And a couple of “art” quilts for you contemporary quilters, although I doubt if any read my blog. LOL
cute apron quilt.
I’m getting tired so I imagine you are too, but I was just wondering if anyone has the pattern for this hat! I just have to have one. ROFL.
So, that’s about it for the show this year. Hope you enjoyed your virtual visit and maybe I’ve convinced some of you to come out west and visit. It’s always on the 2nd Saturday in July and remember…it never rains! (oh Lordy, I hope I haven’t jinxed anything).
Thanks for hanging in there with me.
What a charming town. I liked the cart with the flowers and the quilt draped on it.
ReplyDeleteThose Halloween quilts tickle my fancy!
Anne, Thank you for taking (& posting!) all these photos of Sisters! I felt like I was re-visiting! Sigh. Someday - I hope I get to go again, but your version is wonderful too!

What a beautiful show in an even more beautiful town.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne. I sure enjoyed it.
I LOVED the tour!! Thanks so much for doing that. What an incredible bunch of quilters!! We have a 'little' quilt fair every year in the Cowichan Valley and it is NOTHING like this! Wow! Thanks!

wow.....thanks Anne! I have really enjoyed the tour! It seems like the best time to go is early morning!! It sure gets busy later...your pics really gave me an insight into an event I will probably never see IRL ...so a big thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh Anne thank you so much for sharing all those wonderful quilts with us.
ReplyDeleteStop it:) I love that witch quilt and knowing that there probably isn't a pattern is going to drive crazy. What a great quilt show! I went to Sisters a couple of years ago and loved it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us (the ones who couldn't go)! I enjoyed the quilts and tour. (the art quilts....well....I have my "other" favorites) LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for bringing us along Anne!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO MUCH for posting! I enjoyed all the beautiful quilts so much :o) My favorite is that fall quilt with the pumpkins on it in this post... perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou had me going with the Winter Wonderland, Anne....I haven't finished mine either - LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great visit - sure is a lot less stressful (and cooler) than driving all the way down there!
Cheers!
Thank you so much for showing all of the beautiful quilts! I hope to get there, someday. Boy, I had no idea what I would see when I started blogging, and you certainly did not disappoint!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I think I know where to get that pattern. It's with the art quilts section in the LQS. That one had me ROTF LOL!
This is so wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for showing the quilts. The Witch's pantry belongs to a friend of mine and is based off of a quilt I designed. How fun to see it in the show!
ReplyDeleteSister's is one of the most delightful towns I've had the pleasure to visit. It becomes such a "Quilt Wonderland" on that second Saturday in July - blissful.
