This week marks the beginning of the 34th annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and all the festivities that go along with it, sponsored by The Stitchin Post in Sisters, OR.
When Jean Wells, owner of the Stiching Post, began the show in 1975 with just 12 quilts, she couldn’t have imagined that it would grow to be the largest outdoor quilt show in the world. This year there will be more than 1200 quilts from throughout the country and the world. (taken from an article in The Bend Bulletin).
The week leading up to the show is filled with classes taught by recognized teachers within the quilting industry, lectures, tours, and just all around good fun.
Here are some pictures from last year’s show.
I plan on going this coming Saturday and will take lots of pictures for you. I’ll also tell you more about the show.
I'll be looking forward to attending the show through your blog. Have tons of fun!
