Can you believe this will be the last market post? Good grief, I've only been home for a month (or more). LOL
I love visiting with Kathy Cardiff, the designer of The Cottage at Cardiff Farms. Her cotton and wool patterns just speak to me. (Can't tell you what they are sayin....Hehe). She brought Jayne with her to help out. Jayne is a fairly new blogger, so check it out.
That's Kathy on the left and Jayne on the right.
Kathy has a new book out called "The Cottage at Cardiff Farms Quilts" and some of these quilts are in it.
Again....more cottons n wool!
This next wonderful lady is JoAnn Mullaly of Wool Crazy fame. She has a really fabulous primitive style.
She bought a lot of her props when she got to Kansas City and was selling them when market was over. Sure wish I lived closer or had a truck to get them home.
All the above projects are in her new book which is............... the giveaway!
Just leave a comment and tell me what booths and/or designers inspired you most! I'll pick the winner on Sunday or Monday.
So, that's it for another wonderful quilt market.
See you soon with pictures from the home front.
Hugs, Anne
Hi Anne,
ReplyDeleteThe visit of the Spring quilt market is already finished! It's a pity because these things there, personally, I would want only they never stop : it is such a happiness for eyes! Thanks a lot for all your posts, pictures... etc !
Thanks a lot also to JoAnn for her gift and it's so hard for me to really answer to your question, because so many designers dazzle us so much (the list is so long)!
However, I must be honest and write you that I have again and again a big very favorite "coup de coeur" for Stacy West from Buttermilk Basin.
Have a nice week-end, hugs
Anne, what a fabulous tour of Market...I feel like I was right there...thank you soooooo much!
ReplyDeleteInspired by all the pictures from the different booths. I was really enjoyed the snapshots of Renee Nanneman's booth. I kept wanting to "double-click" and make the photos bigger on each post.JoAnn's booth had to be decorated beautifully... Love the wool and cotton together....

ReplyDeleteI really liked the Buttermilk Basin booth. I have really gotten into wool lately and they had some really cute patterns. I really enjoyed your pictures of Quilt Market. Since I can't go it was almost like being there. Thanks
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to thank you for taking all of us to quilt market. Lots of us are simply quilters and don't get the opportunity to attend, so Iwant to thank you for the chance to attend. Every day I would think oh I like that shop/pattern/fabric best :) so in all honesty I can't decide which one I like best...so I choose you!

I just love everything designed by Geoff's Mom - I feel like a blog "stalker" since I'm always checking in to see what new wonderful patterns they have designed. Too many patterns and not enough time....sigh.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Aussie designers!!! I've already ordered the new book Elegant Quilts, Country Charm and it should be arriving today or tomorrow. I could get in real trouble at market.
ReplyDeleteAnne, thank you for the chance to win a book I have been covering. I love Jams booth the best.
ReplyDeleteI would say all of them, each booth and designer has their own styles and love all of them. But I do find myself drawn to your booth and Bari J's style, love your new projects, would be so fun to do.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Your photos were the best I've seen on all the blogs. All of the wool/primtive booths are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! I can't pick just one! I absolutely LOVED Buttermilk Basin, and ended up searching out and buying kits for several of her new BOM's. Absolutely wonderfully primitive wooly fun! I also love Sew Unique Creations/Tara Lynn Darr, and Primitive Gatherings!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne written by an Anne which always makes me smile when I do this. The wool flower appliqué on quilts always makes me smile as I love to garden. The wool gives a cozy feel on cold Midwestern winter evenings as you snuggle under a quilt with memories of your summer flowers. I really like the mixing of wools and cottons with the primitive flare
ReplyDeleteAnne thanks so much for all the great pictures from market. I want it all. One booth that absolutely stands out is Renee Nannemans. Thanks also for the give away

ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed all your pictures--so much inspiration, I like all of Buttermilk Basin's new patterns and am especially glad I will be able to get sheep and monthly blankets since I missed those the first time around. JAM is always fun!
ReplyDeletethose are fabulous pictures, they make me want them all, but if I had to choose I'd say, MS. Joann herself with Wool Crazy. The quilt with the oak leaves, I love that touch of gold as the branch comes out, it like the sun peeking through a tree and high lighting the leaves & acorns. Just love the contrast of that patch of color. Never enough fall designs to suit me!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your photos. I love Kathy Cardiff's work - her book is on my "must have" list. I think Primitive Gatherings is my absolute favorite. I forget which blog initially introduced me to them, but I'm forever obliged!
ReplyDeleteLove them all, that's what hard, but anything with wool is always a favorite. Primitive Gatherings and JAMs Wool Crazy are wonderful!
