Embroidery and a winner!

I was just texting with my friend Patty in Calif, and I asked her to pick a number between 1 and 70.  Not knowing why, she picked #25 which is PEGGY who left a comment on Sept 2 at 5:16 and loves Notre Dame football.

Peggy, email me your address and I'll get your goodies in the mail.   (you are a "no reply", so I can't email you).

Thanks Patty.

Yesterday I went to the Wednesday embroidery group at Sew Many Quilts.   It's been awhile since the group has met because of all the summer activities that go on in the quilt shop.    (I think they met a couple of weeks ago, but I hadn't gotten my mojo back yet).    Anyway, here are some of the projects the ladies were working on.   It was definitely a full house.    (Warning...picture heavy).

Then...when we were all stitching away, guess who came into the shop?   Why it's Bonnie Sullivan of "All Through the Night" patterns.    I showed you her booth at quilt market back in June.    She was vacationing in the area and decided to drop in the shop. I had her stand in front of the rack with all her patterns.  She was so excited to get her picture taken.  NOT!    LOL    But, she was extremely gracious about it.   It was so fun to see her in our neck of the woods.

A bit of trivia:  Did you know that Bonnie's sister is Kathy Schmitz?    A lot of the ladies in the group were working on Kathy's designs. Perfect time for Bonnie to show up!

The shop had her trunk show during the Sisters Quilt Show week but had shipped them back to her already.    These next two quilts were made with Bonnie's patterns.

And now a trip around the shop.

Christmas is gonna be here before you know it.   Yikes.

Lots of wool!

Check out all the new bolts of flannels that just arrived in the shop.

My favorite part of the shop.   Civil War and Kansas Troubles fabrics.   Yummy!

So, that was my day yesterday.   Hope you're having a good week.

Hugs, Anne
