A Few Pumpkins

This is a project I've been working on with a group online. The pattern is "The Great Pumpkin" by Briar Rose Designs and calls for 15" blocks. I didn't want a giant pumpkin quilt, so I decided to reduce the pattern by 50%. The blocks now measure 7.5" and they are pretty cute if I do say so myself. I still need to add embroidery on some of the blocks, machine blanket stitch all the applique and then pick out some sashing and border fabric. Maybe it will be completely finished by NEXT fall. LOL. I used my stash for this and hardly even made a dent in it.

I think the quilt will finish at around 36" x 38" depending on how wide I make the borders. (nice size for a little wallhanging)

  5. Anne, we must be "channeling" each other - Winter Wonderland and the pumpkin quilt! I have the pumpkin pattern and am still collecting fat Q's! Great idea to downsize it - you're so clever! Cheers!

  16. Hi, I am a fellow Great Pumpkin maker (Rabbitstitchings/Sandy) Your GP looks great!!!

I am working on the block with the pilgrim hat and I have to say this hat is stumping me a bit on exactly how to cut and stitch this LOL... I guess the brim is supposed to be cut as a piece and stitched and then the top of the hat is cut by itself placed on first then put the brim on etc... for some reason this is confusing me LOL...
    Anyway yours looks great! WTG
