So, I figured I'd better get busy with my Christmas decorating because we are leaving for Seattle on Tuesday and won't be home till next Sunday. And then it's...December. I have tons of decorations, and it takes me forever to put them up. I had some help today.
This is Jack. He's was into everything!
He really loves greenery. Even the fake kind.
Finally, I had to banish him to the deck because he was undoing everything I was doing! (don't worry, he didn't stay out there long. After all...just look at that cute little face).
Hooray...one thing crossed off my list. It's Block #1 of "Wool Garden". You too can order yours from Karen at Farmhouse Woolens.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and I'll be back in a week.
Anne,
ReplyDeleteJack looks like such a good helper, he is ready to pounce your little tree...
Your block is looking good, looking forward to more power sewing show & tell.
Happy Thanksgiving in Seattle!
What a cute idea - little buttons on a tree! Makes me want to go & raid my button jar! (Love the little woolie underneath it too!) Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI need a helper like you but my little moggie likes to sit by the fire and sleep.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie Jack is...such a big helper. Your Block #1 is just wonderful! Have a safe trip and a very Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see some more decorating. I just love Christmas seeing everyone's home all decked out for the season.
ReplyDeleteI love your stitchery...is that wool? I must run over and check out Karen's site. I haven't been over for awhile.
Have a wonderful time in Seattle! Jack is very cute. We don't put any decorations up, we have 3 Jacks living in our house and it would last about 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteJack is just admiring your work just like me. The snowman tree skirt is so cute. So is your flower block. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Anne - Jack looks like a good assistant. Is Jack's last name Bower? Looking forward to see what you power sewed on.
ReplyDeleteNow that I have seen your block of the month completed I definitely need to start mine this week. We are getting an early start on decorating this year as well.It will give us a bit more time to enjoy it. Happy Turkey Day!
ReplyDeleteIf Jack is like Sophie, they think there's water in "them there buckets" He's awfully cute, Anne! Have a great trip up our way - the weather is gorgeous today! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteAnne - thanks for the get well wishes you sent Ms Faye thru the Yellow Farmhouse blog. But, yikes girl. I'd like to think I'm irreplaceable in the Woolies. But you never know, they could turn on you just like that. Your good wishes mean an awful lot to me.
ReplyDeleteHope your turkey day trip to Seattle was great! If Block #1 is any indication, this will be a stunning quilt when finished.
ReplyDeleteI really like your wool block. I must go over to Farmhouse Woolens so I can see what the whole quilt will look like.
ReplyDeleteNaughty Jack but he's so cute. I am enjoying reading through your archives.
