Since I mentioned our Woolie Mammoth group, I thought I’d show you some of the projects that people are working on. I need to remember to have my camera ready for pictures. We are usually having so much fun I forget to take any.
First up, 2 cute blocks for a BOM that Mari is working on. Sorry, can’t remember the name of the BOM.
Some of Sandy’s projects:
A close up…
And this project of hers isn’t wool, but it’s spectacular so I thought I’d throw it in. She finished up Farmer’s Daughter.
A cute scissors case. (sorry, I don’t remember who was working on it).
A darling little mat.
And this cute Christmas bell pull.
Now on to the trusses. They DID arrive on Wednesday after the delays. We have been there every day to see progress but I won’t bore you with a million photos. These were taken yesterday.
That’s my sewing nest, right in the middle on the second floor.
Oh, I do have to share a couple of pics of the crane lifting the trusses.
I was even lucky enough to catch a picture of a truss being delivered to the roof.
It’s only been 5 weeks since we broke ground. It’s really begun to take shape.
Hugs, Anne
oh man has the house changed in such a short time!
ReplyDeleteI'll be bringing my "pathetic" tree to Woolies on Tuesay. LOL
Thanks for the updates. I love the finish work and painting jobs that Phalisch does. A friend of mine is the one whose crew does the painting. Cannot wait to see all the progress. I also love all the wool projects people are working on. My friend lives farther back as her house is accessed off of Ferguson (??) Road I believe. If you turn left off of 15...then go up about 1/4 - 1/2 mile there is a newer subdivision..her house is right behind the LARGE FLAG POLE.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the pictures! If you can, in the future, would you put links to the patterns? They all look like something I'd enjoy doing. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love every woolie project!!! What a talented group you are a part of!!
ReplyDeleteOnly 5 weeks? I am amazed at how fast it is moving along. You must be getting so excited.
Wow your house is going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful name for your group - The Woolies. Wait a minute, I belong to a group called The Woolies too! It is obviously a good idea. Love all the projects. The house quilt looks like it might have come from Farmhouse Woolens? Or not. I know they are single patterns too. Anyway, looks like a great group with lots of great ideas & talents.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks like it will be wonderful. Bet you can't wait!
Wow, your new house is taking shape very nicely and quickly, too.
ReplyDeleteI love all the projects the Woolie Mammoths are doing.
All the Woolie's projects are just wonderful...what a great group!
ReplyDeleteOh the house is looking great...really taking shape...I loved the day the trusses went up on our house...and then when they closed up the roof and I couldn't see sky through anymore was very exciting.
Isn't it exciting watching it be framed? We built our house 12 years ago and every day we were at the site poking around and seeing what they did. It was fun to watch! The most exciting moments were when the walls went up and we could walk around in the rooms.... Loved it! Enjoy the process!
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to move so I can join your group. What wonderful inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteOOOH, your house is coming along nicely.
Great projects - and I see it was snowing in the background! I love the Farmer's Daughter - I have the pattern - do you think I'll ever do it? Great photos of the trusses, too! Your sewing nest is huge and I suspect you have the best view in town from it, Anne!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Love the house!! And THE quilts are spectacular!! All that lovely wool!! I would love to belong to a Woolies Group!!
