One week later

Today when we drove up we saw that not only had they wrapped the house, but they had also started the siding.

016-3

and the window trim

028-1

and the stone work.

018-2

A close up…

017-2

Guys in the back working on the underside of the patio cover.

021-2

And inside on the electrical wiring and plumbing.

025-1

And, of course, I had to walk around the back and take a look up at my nest.

031

Yep, it’s still there.  LOL

So, the question of the day is…

Who can tell me what this is?

020-1

I’ll be back next week with another update.   I’m going to keep the house updates on posts by themselves because there are some friends of Mr. CnW who are looking at the blog just for the house pictures.  I know they aren’t interested in the quilts and wool projects, right guys?   Winking smile

Hugs, Anne

  8. The house looks great. Is that some kind of circle cutter? Maybe you can turn it upside down and use it as a pedestal dish?

  11. Ohhh the stone work! I love that part. although I didn't see that piece when I was tromping around...my guess is that it is for the cute construction guys to set their coffee on...cause it was freezing cold!

  12. Do I win a prize if I tell you what it is?? lol j/k It's what the electrician lays his wire roll on and it unrolls neatly. We own several. My hubby is a contractor. We use them quite regularly, considering we currently have 2 project houses and my shop is always a project, hehe. Your house looks great! Love the stonework!! Ohh and I love the sold sign in the window :) Good luck, it sometimes can be a stressful time, but you have the easy part, your contractor and hired guys do the work. My house, it's me and the hubby and our hired guy, so maybe it's not so stressful for you!! Good luck, it's shaping up nicely!

  15. I can't believe the difference a week makes! You must be getting so excited, Anne! OK - I promise I haven't looked at any of the other comments....but I'd say it looks like that yellow cord behind it might have been wrapped on the contraption to keep it neat and tidy when the cord isn't being used? I'd love the play the Ask This Old House what is it game - I can just imagine what uses Richard, Tom, Kevin and Roger would come up with!
    Cheers!

  19. Looks like it is coming along great! Looking forward to seeing the progress...when will the inside be ready to paint? I'd say a couple more months? Again, my friend is the contracted painter for your builder so I think that you will be happy with their work. Kevin and his crew do great work.
