Comfort and Joy

Block 1

A couple of months ago, Karen and I were talking about working on a quilt together and treating it like a block of the month.   We chose “Comfort and Joy” by Pat Wys and BJ Laird of Silver Thimble Quilt Co.

Sandy (no blog) and Sharon said they wanted to join us.   Our goal is to be finished with it by October in order to get it quilted by Christmas.

Being accountable to other people always helps get things done.   (one of the reasons I joined Weight Watchers and attend the meetings….but I digress!)  Anyway, we are going to do a section each month.

This is Sandy’s block.

And here’s mine.

We’d love to have you join us with this one.  The more the merrier!  Let one of us know if you too would like to be held accountable. You can post on your blog or send a picture to one of us to post for you!  Just think, you’ll have a completed quilt in no time at all.

Hugs, Anne

  4. I just ordered the pattern so depending on how long it takes to get to Nova Scotia, I'll try to get a start on it as soon as it arrives. I'll probably be breathing in your dust for the first couple of months until I get caught up with you gals.

    Wait for me!!!

  11. Oh, I have this quilt pattern. And you have it started. I do think working on it with other people doing the same helps work toward a common goal of getting it done.

  18. Oh! I was just looking at that pattern somewhere! It's going to be fabulous! I'm very tempted to make one too, but I have so much other stuff in progress that it would be silly to add one more thing. Of course, I've been known to be silly before . . . .

  19. Love the log cabin block, the pattern reminds me of your christmas quilt you did as a bom at smq. As I said before, wish I had more time to sew along with you.
