Last Friday, I went to Portland with Brenda and Nadine (no blogs). I took so many pictures, I couldn't figure out how to organize them to show them to you. I decided I'd start with the Featured Artist, Janet Fogg. Her quilts are amazing works of art. Enjoy! More to come tomorrow.

A Great Big Thanks and some more fall decorating
Wow, what can I say? I'm completely overwhelmed at the response to my first post but so very excited. Of course, it helps to have two very popular bloggers, Anne and Karen, refer all of you to me. So, thanks you two. And, thanks so much to all of you for your nice comments. I promise to be less of a lurker, and more of a "poster". (Karen, do you believe that?) LOL
So, I have a few more of my fall decorating pictures to show you today and then, maybe, tomorrow I will have pictures galore to share of the Northwest Quilting Expo show that I went to yesterday with a couple of friends. Beautiful quilts and one especially great vendor. I took so many pictures that it will probably take me a week to share them all with you.
So...here we go with the remaining fall pics of my house....

New blogger and fall decorating
Well, here I go joining in on this blogging world. I've been hesitant for quite awhile, but after reading so many of your wonderful blogs, and seeing how much fun you're all having, I decided to take the plunge. I think I'll start with some pictures of my fall decorating.
This first picture is of a wooden tray with fall potpourri and a wonderful smelling candle. It was given to me as a birthday gift by my good friend, Patty. You almost want to eat it because it looks like a frosted cake. The candles in the jars in front and behind are McCalls Country Canning candles and the big one in the back was given to me by the wonderful Karen at My Yellow Farmhouse. The towel it's sitting on has pumpkins on it.
This next one is 2 shelves forming a corner in the hallway. Karen also gave me the cute star plate. Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs gave me the cute box on the far left.
This is the very first applique quilt I ever did. It is a pattern that was in American Patchwork and Quilting magazine a few years back. I took the class at ThimbleCreek when I used to live in Walnut Creek, CA. I had a wonderful teacher... Verna Mosquera . This is a kit I got from Primitive Gatherings. I think I would have to re-mortgage my house if I ever got to go to the actual store. I love everything they have.
Okay, I'm exhausted so you'll have to wait till I've recovered before I can show you more. Thanks for stopping by!
