Sample Spree surprise

As you might know, I wasn’t able to go to Quilt Market in Pittsburgh this year because Mason was due the day before we were supposed to leave. One of the most fun things to do when there is to go to Sample Spree and I was really sad to know I was missing it.

Well, I got a phone call the night of Sample Spree from Anne telling me that I needn’t have worried about it (which made me think that maybe there wasn’t anything there I would have wanted – Horrors!). Oh no, that wasn’t it at all. She shopped for ME, mailed the package from the convention center and I got it just as they were all coming home from another successful market. Now… how’s that for having a great friend?

This is what she picked up for me.

Lecien’s new line of Civil War fabrics

4 great new books

and a pack of Carol Hopkins’ Civil War Legacies patterns.

Thanks, Anne. There isn’t one thing that I wouldn’t have bought if I’d been there. It was ALMOST as good as going but…not quite.

Spring Cleaning Part 2

OMG, LOOK! I have clean surfaces. I never thought it could happen and those that know me probably think these pictures have been photoshopped to get all the clutter out, right peeps?

My window seat has lots of room for storage and I've always kept things in there that I didn't need to get at because....it was always stacked with "things". Now I can actually SIT on it.

And look.....a countertop that isn't cluttered! Wheeee!

Lots of room now for cutting and sewing.

Even Jack can rest a bit more comfortably.

So, with all that cleaning came more fat packs that I know I'll never use in this lifetime. Once again, I'm offering them to you guys first! Description will be below the picture.

Spring Cleaning

Did you happen to watch "Oprah" yesterday? It was another show in the "uncluttering your home" series. One specific thing that Peter Walsh said really made me sit up and take notice. He said that "surfaces are not meant for storage". If you saw the surfaces in my sewing room, you wouldn't know what the countertops actually look like.

So, I decided to unclutter them and thought I would offer some of my Moda Fat Quarter bundles to my blogging friends. Soon I'll be setting up and Etsy and/or Ebay store to start getting rid of all my excesses but wanted you to have first dibs here.

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. Payment can be made by either PayPal or a check. I will ship USPS (Post office) in Flat Rate/Priority boxes. The cost will be either $10.35 or $13.95 depending on how much you order and how much I can stuff in a box!!!
