More market pictures

Continuing on....

I always love to see the Bonnie Blue booth.  I love their patterns and line of reproduction fabrics.  Have you heard that they changed their name?   They are now known as Red Crinoline Quilts.  Everything else is the same....wonderful designs and fabrics.

This is their new Block of the Month.

Notice the bedskirt....it's red crinoline.   So cute.

These are the talented ladies behind the designs.  That's Paula on the left and Mary Ellen on the right.

On to The Buggy Barn and their newest designs.

Aren't these kitties just so cute?

I really like the fall applique on this log cabin.    So simple, yet so effective.

Pam and Janet weren't in the booth when I went by but I caught them buying fabric for their shop.   It's amazing to me how much these designers/quilt shop owners have to do during market.   They are constantly wearing 2 hats.

One of my favorite quilts is this new Block of the Month by Jan Patek.  Sorry about the picture quality but I took the picture with my phone the first day of setup when I walked past Jan's booth.  Then I never got back  over there to get pictures of all the other quilts she was showing.   Could this one be our next Quilt-a-long?   It's so cute!

See you soon with more.

Hugs, Anne

My Mojo’s back

I know I told you I was going to post the last of the Christmas shops I went to over the holidays, but at this point, I doubt if anyone is really too interested in Christmas. So….I’ll make sure and do it in the fall when it will be more exciting.

I’m loving my nest and all the organizing I’ve done. It’s so nice to be able to finally find things and know exactly where to go to get the next project to work on.

Here’s what I’ve been doing for the past few months.

I finally got this project quilted. The pattern is “Glory Bound” from Bonnie Blue Quilts.

I bought a “blanket crane” online from Small Town Primitives and hung it on the wall going up (or down) the stairs.

I also got “Summertime” quilted. It was a block of the week from Primitive Gatherings a few summers ago.

Another one that finally got quited is my “Wool Garden” from Waltzing with Bears. You might remember this quilt from my wool tutorial which you can access on the sidebar.

During the holidays, Country Loft posted pictures on their blog of their Christmas open house. While scrutinizing the pictures with a magnifying glass, LOL, I saw this kit available. I quickly called the shop and JoAnn Mullaly, the designer, answered the phone. It was so fun to talk to her. I just love her primitive style.

I think I’ll make it up into a pillow.

Quilt Market–people part 2

Yesterday when I did the post, it was so long and full of pictures that blogger wouldn’t process it thru. So, I had to delete some. Here ya go then, with part 2.

First up are Paula Barnes and Mary Ellen Robison, the creative geniuses behind Bonnie Blue Quilts.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 145

The quilt hanging on the far right is a new Block of the Month called “Cotton Club”. You can find stores offering it by doing a google search. I got the pattern for the scrappy pinwheel one right under it.

Here’s the other 1/2 of the booth. It’s so cozy I just want to snuggle up in there.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 146

This is Renee Plains of Liberty Star. Do you like how she’s standing with her hand on her hip? At the last market, someone told her that it makes you look slimmer because you can see through and your arm doesn’t add width to your body. Hmmm, like she needs to worry about that? NOT! She’s a kick.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 010

It wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t get to see PamKittyMorning. She was working hard manning the Lakehouse booth.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 013

And here’s Debbie Outlaw who is the pattern buyer for United Notions. She’s certainly NOT a witch!

Quilt Market Fall 2011 154

This next quilt belongs to Marcie Patch of Patchalot Patterns. She wasn’t able to make it to Houston, but her quilt was hanging in the Marcus Brothers booth. She emailed me before I left for market and asked me to take a picture for her. So pretty. This one’s for you, Marcie.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 009

When I used to work at Sew Many Quilts here in town, I got to know these two reps for Moda when they would come in to show the owners all the latest fabrics. Here are Bob and Dianne who are married to each other. I love being able to see them twice a year.

Quilt Market Fall 2011 039

Notice how hard Dianne is working. What’s up with that, Bob?

Well, I better quit while I’m sure this will post okay. I’ve still got pictures of the quilt show and some eye candy pics of some of the products throughout the show.

A little bit of Quilt Market

I know you’ve all seen tons of pictures of quilt market so I won’t bore you with more of the same. Instead I’ll just show you a few of my favorite quilts in some of the booths. 049

I absolutely fell in love with this one from The Buggy Barn gals. They are featuring it as a new Block of the Month. I immediately came home and ordered it. I can’t wait to get started. The picture doesn’t do it justice at all. It is just stunning. Wanna join me?

Every time I walked past Marcus Brothers booth, I had to stop and take in these 2 quilts. Loved em.

192 And a Bonnie Blue quilt that I wanted to take home with me. Do you think they would have noticed?

101

I’ve always liked this quilt and now it’s been published in a book, Juniper and Mistletoe by Kansas City Star publications. I picked it up at Sample Spree. Another project. Wheee

174

And check out the quilt on the left. It’s all done in WOOL! Oh my, I hope I didn’t drool on it. Barb Cribb, the designer of Wild Thymes, is just so talented.

105

This quilt was in the Moda booth advertising Brannock and Patek’s new line, Looking Back. I think the line will be out in 2010. I managed to snag a fat pack at Sample Spree. I hope they put this quilt in a pattern. After all, I’ll have to make SOMETHING out of the fabric, right?

Next up…I’ll show you what I may have talked Karen into doing.

Wa la!

First of all, thanks to everyone for wishing Mr. CnW a happy birthday. Who woulda thunk a man of his age (old) would get his feelings hurt by not making the blog cut? I’m still smiling about that. He read each and every one of the comments and you all made his day!

Now, on to quilty stuff.

Remember these?

261

This is what they turned into.

011

I was a little concerned about how busy the neutrals were, but once it got put together, I decided I like it. The pattern is called “Glory Bound” by Bonnie Blue Quilts.

I think I’m going to tea dye it or distress it or whatever you do to give it an aged look. I’ll have Mary from Quilt Hollow help me with that part since she does it to most of her quilts. Okay Mary?

Went to the guild’s quilt show in the park today. I’ll post pictures once I get them edited.

Hugs, Anne
