More wool and some winners

The winners of the patterns and wool bundles are......  Anna, and Nancy in MT.    Send me your addresses and I'll get your goodies in the mail in the next day or two.     Thanks to all of you for sharing your favorite notions.   Seems like scissors are very special to most of you.    One notion really intrigued me and I might have to be buying one for myself.

Anne said she loves her trolley needle.    I'd never heard of it so wrote her back and asked her to tell me more.   Here's what she said...

"It is indeed a stiletto, but rather than having to hold it, it is simply and extension of one of your fingers.  That means all your fingers and thumb are completely free to move and help manipulate the fabric"

This is what it looks like.   She said that she uses it when doing the starch method of applique.   I think I see one in my future.

Since the wool in the giveaway came from Blackberry Primitives, I thought you might like to see a bit of their booth.   I wasn't able to get back over there to take pictures until the last day and most of their wool was gone, but here's a look.   And....no..., it wasn't me who bought it all!!!

Enjoy!

Another booth with fabulous wool was Weeks Dye Works.

Just look at these wonderful samples.

Oh my....floss and more floss.

And here's what's left at the Valdani booth.    I wish I had gotten pictures the first day because it was so beautiful with all the colors lined up and filling the racks.

There's still more to come.   It may take me until next quilt market to finally show you everything.   I also have another giveaway, so there's still a chance to win.

Hugs, Anne

Buttermilk Basin and a GIVEAWAY!

I have always loved Stacy's designs but she hadn't been at market in awhile so it was fun to get to see her new stuff in person.    She and Karen are great friends, so Karen introduced me and we all even went to dinner and had a great time.  That's Stacy on the left, me in the middle and Karen on the right.    They are both so tall (or maybe I'm so short) and I was even standing on my tiptoes.

These are a new Block of the Month called "By Thy Hands".  I love each and every month!

And I'm so drawn to anything fall related.

Aren't these next two just great?

There was inspiration everywhere I turned.

I LOVE these.    Called "Wool and Needle Handwork BOM", you start with the foundation block, and then start making a center block each month to attach to it.

Here are all the months that can be attached.   (I can't remember how they were attached, but maybe with velcro?)

More yummy fall projects.

Remember the sheep blankets that I've been making?  Well, Stacy has revived the patterns and put them all into one large pattern with all 12 monthly blankets.    There's also the pattern to make the sheep.

Here's my May blanket but after seeing Stacy's all made up, I may be re-doing mine.   Hers looked so darn cute.   (I purchased my sheep off an etsy site)

Stacy, so generously, gave me 2 patterns to give away.   I'm including a wool bundle of neutrals from Blackberry Primitives.

All you have to do is make a comment and tell me what your favorite notion is.    I love notions and want to see if there's something out there that I don't have and NEED!   :)

I'll pick the winners on Sunday so that I can get them in the mail early next week.     Good Luck!

More to come...Hugs, Anne
