Quilt Market 2012 #2

Right across the aisle from Primitive Gatherings was Geoff's Mom Pattern Co.   I fell in love with everything in the booth, but I think their new Block of the Month was one of my favorite finds at market.    Wouldn't this be a fun one to do as an online Quilt-a-Long?

Enjoy more eye candy!

This one is called "Seasons"

And aren't these farmyard critters just adorable?

More wool projects to drool over.

I love this little framed block.  I don't remember the size but I'm thinking it was about a 6 inch block.

Joyce and Norma are the designers of all these wonderful patterns.    I was never able to get a picture of the two of them together, but you can follow them on their blog

More to come...maybe even a giveaway or two!  Woo Hoo!

Quilt Market 2012

Anna came over today for a lesson on how to do the starch method of applique and while she was here I asked her to give me a lesson on how to set up "Smilebox" slideshows.    She started showing me but the Smilebox format looked different to her and she had a bit of confusion which of course made me doubly confused.  So, I thought I'd give Blogger a try and see if the new interface is any better to me than the old one was that wouldn't let me load many pictures.     Oh....I managed to get my blog roll fixed.   All of a sudden I could make changes.   Sometimes technology just completely baffles me!

Anyway, on to pictures from Quilt Market.   I'll start with Primitive Gatherings since, once again, they were our neighbors.

This is a gorgeous kit called "Wool Alphabet Sampler.    Did I buy it?   You betcha!

I'll just let you enjoy all the eye candy.

See the snowman, bunny and sunflower above the wool?  Those go with the Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine project that Lisa did in the very first issue.

Look at all the yummy wool!

Both of the quilts hanging on the wall are new patterns.

Better view of "Petals and Pennies".   It's all wool on a flannel background.   Just gorgeous.

Check out all the Valdani threads.   Be still my heart!

This quilt is called "Colfax County" and has a bazillion little pieces to it.   If you want to read all about the quilting that was involved, check out Linda's post.  She did a beautiful job quilting it.

And there's Lisa, hiding in the corner.

Lots more to share.   See ya later.

Comfort and Joy #2

I can’t believe that it’s been a month since we started this project.   Time does fly when you’re having fun!

We’ve had 2 more bloggers join us in making this adorable quilt.   (Actually, we’ve had 4 join but 2 aren’t quite ready to show you what they’ve done.   You’ll get to see their blocks next month)

So, go visit Karen, Sharon, Karen and Diane to see all the eye candy.
(Karen is having computer issues so be sure to check back with her)

Sandy still doesn’t have a blog, so I'm posting her pictures here.   Come on Sandy…you’ve got so much to blog about. Feeling some pressure?  Oh good, that’s the point!  LOL

And here’s mine.

This quilt is constructed vertically, so here are my first 2 blocks sewn together.

Again, this is the pattern and you still have time to join us.

I’ve got lots of pictures of quilt market to share with you.  I just have to get them organized.   Now if I could just quit falling asleep when I sit down, I could get them posted before next quilt market!

Country Homecoming #2

We have 2 bloggers who have decided to join us on our journey to complete this quilt in a year.    Paulette Sweet P and  Mary Quilt Hollow are now part of the “group”.  It’s not too late to join us.  The blocks are super easy to make and you can whip up 3 of them in no time  and be all caught up when we post pictures next month.   (Easy for me to say, huh?  LOL)

So, here we go.

It’s amazing how much you can get done when there is peer pressure involved!

If you missed the first post about this darling BOM, you can read about it here.   And again, jump in anytime and join us in the fun!
