Hey, where's spring?

We've been having some really nice weather lately but this morning woke up to this!

Maybe we need to take this down!

On the quilty front. Here's block 4 of Wool Garden by Waltzing with Bears.

And all 4 of them so far. I'm liking the way this is looking.

I prepped Block #7 of "Reminiscence" by the Rabbit Factory, so it's all ready to be stitched down when I have some time.

Got another block stitched of "Winter Wonderland" by Crabapple Hill. I decided to do these blocks in order from largest to smallest. I'm glad I did it that way because even though I love it, it's ALOT of redwork. I tend to get bored quickly with this one. I'm plugging along though and at least the largest blocks are finished.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions about what to watch next while I'm on the treadmill. I just started Season 1 of "24", and I think I'll watch "John Adams" when I'm finished with "24". By then the weather should be nice enough to start walking outside again. You all gave me some great ideas and I've written them all down to check out.

LOL, Winter sign you have up and the Crabapple Hill "Winter Wonderland" - no wonder you woke up to snow..LOL You have winter/snow on the brain.

Such beautiful blocks and stitcheries. And, when do you rest?

I'm loving the Wool blocks. You're doing such a beautiful job on them. They have the look of warmth and coziness - just right to wrap up in on a snowy day.

Have a warm day - SPRING really is around the corner.

Gee Anne, this is scarry. I absolutely love all the projects you're working on. The scarry thing is I probably would have made the same choices. Yikes!

I love the wool that you're using. Is this a BOM where the wool is supplied or is it from your stash?

Now I'm off to check out the links you gave for the projects.

Look at all that snow. It is beautiful and so are all your blocks. I guess the snow keeps you and you can work more on quilty things. I have been reading your blog but for some reason could not leave comments.

You have been one very busy girl. I need to get my Winter Wonderland going. I love your background...already quilted...is it Sandcastle?

Looks like we got the same weather here yesterday. But today is dreary and wet. Lots of heavy rain and wind. The temp is now 48 and tonight it is dropping to 32 so there will be some flash freezing. Your wool creations are just beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished products. Linda

We woke up to that too, yesterday, but thank goodness it's clear and sunny today! Love the wool, Anne! And I had no idea you were doing WW on the quilted fabric - now that's ambitious!! Don't you just love the little snow people?
Cheers!

You have been very, very busy . . . lots of new blocks to show us. I'm lovin' them all - great pattern choices! Your Crabapple Hill block is adorable, but I can see how it could get a bit tedious . . . well worth it, though - beautiful block. - Marlene

Whoa! Snow! It's so pretty.
I enjoyed seeing photos of your different projects. I think you were smart to start with the big blocks on the red work pattern. I like to do the same thing.
The wool project is very, very nice!

Love your winter wonderland block! How did you get the design traced on taht fabric! It looks so cool! I just stared that quilt and only have the snow angel block. I think your idea of largest to smallest maybe is a better idea! But I'm not real experienced with redwork so I was thinking more practice on the smaller blocks!

I sure like your Rabbit Factory block. I also really like your new blog header - a few weeks ago I started a hand applique project inspired by that picture.

Love all of your projects as usual. My niece and I are going to start on WInter Wonderland for my Mom for her birthday in Nov - it's such a cute quilt. LOVE your applique block - great fabric combo. The snow really needs to go away from our neck of the woods - I NEED spring.

Hugs - Karen

I love that Crabapple Hill pattern...thanks for the ideal of doing the large parts first. What have you used for your blocks? It looks quilted in the photo.

We had a little dusting of snow last week too! Yours is so pretty, ours was so little and melted off fast.

Now it's sunny, even my bulbs are starting to pop up... and now you make me want to get crackin' on my Winter Wonderland! I had dream last night I could stitch really fast. But I awoke to reality and a ziploc of floss, bg fabric and the WW pattern... still waiting for me to tackle it. I love watching yours in progress!
