Let there be light

We got the Solatubes installed this week and what a difference it makes.

It has made such a huge difference.   In fact, when we walk thru the room, we now have a tendency to want to turn off a light.

(See the table on the wall on the right?   The Buggy Barn quilt from the last post is going to go on that wall.  Can’t wait)

This is what the tubes look like.

I think they are very unobtrusive and the best way to describe them is to say they look like large can lights.

Note:  No flash was used and no Photoshop editing was done.  I don’t even know how…LOL

Hugs, Anne

I LOVE my Solatube! We have a 70's ranch-style house with a very dark hallway. The bathroom, located halfway down the hall, had no natural light. So we put a large Solatube in the bathroom, which spills plenty of natural light into the hallway. We also replaced the laundry room door at the end of the hall with a glass door, which spills more light.
I love when company comes over and they can't figure out how to turn off the "light" in the bathroom!

Well, I'm convinced now that this will be the answer to our very dark 70's colonial. Thanks!

Very different indeed, I like it. Which way does the roof face that has these installed? North South East West? I imagine that would affect the amount of light bounced inside?

How did they go through the second floor? Inquiring minds need to know :-) We need these bad!
