Country Homecoming #2

We have 2 bloggers who have decided to join us on our journey to complete this quilt in a year.    Paulette Sweet P and  Mary Quilt Hollow are now part of the “group”.  It’s not too late to join us.  The blocks are super easy to make and you can whip up 3 of them in no time  and be all caught up when we post pictures next month.   (Easy for me to say, huh?  LOL)

So, here we go.

And here are both of mine together.

It’s amazing how much you can get done when there is peer pressure involved!

If you missed the first post about this darling BOM, you can read about it here.   And again, jump in anytime and join us in the fun!

Hugs, Anne

I already have a big plaid house neighborhood from a different pattern. I just realized why I like this pattern better. The houses are divided by the dark sashing and mine were not. Maybe I should take my top apart and add sashings and I would like it better.

The houses are just adorable. I may have to rearrange my schedule and hop on the house parade!

I would so love to make this quilt but the book is a little pricey on Amazon. From $43 to $126. I like the quilt, but not that much :-(

Yikes, I just paid an outrageous price on Amazon--$44. I should have read the comments first! Once the book arrives, I am in!

They are all so interesting, it's amazing how different colour choices make them so different.

These are beautiful! I saw the book for $144.00 new or 44.00 used on Amazon :0)! Wow!
good news though my library has it and I have it on order. I'd love to jump in when I get it.
Are you using wool for trims?

I love plaids that don't match up it makes it looks primitive to me.

Happy Sewing

Making progress slowly: I bought the book. Does that count?! LOL! I'll let you know if I get any further along and "officially" join in.

Do you pre-shrink your homespuns? I have a whole drawer full and don't know exactly how to start.
