Can you believe it? Construction is finished and we're now ready to move in and enjoy our houses and all the neighbors.
If I hadn't been doing this project as a quilt-a-long, it would have definitely become another UFO. I really struggled with this one as I'm sure I've told you often (like in EVERY post). I have to say though, that now that the applique is on the borders, it was worth every screaming fit! I love it.
If you're new to my blog, the quilt is called Country Homecoming and it can be found in this book. (I think it's now out of print, but can sometimes be found on used book store websites).
This is Sandy's (no blog) neighborhood. I think she struggled with it as much as I did....she just didn't complain as much. :)
Here's mine. I'm really anxious to get it quilted and bound. I never thought I be this excited!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all those wonderful bloggers who came on this journey with me. Like I said....if it weren't for you gals, there wouldn't be 12 finished houses!
Head on over and see what the rest of the quilt-a-longers have done with their neighborhoods.
Paulette, Patty, Shazy, Sandy R, and Anna.
Thanks to the rest of you who have made such nice comments over these past months which also kept me plugging along.
I'll be sure and show you what it looks like after it's been quilted.
Hugs, Anne

Anne it's fabulous! Clapping loudly for your wonderful finish!
All great quilts - enjoy your new home.
What comes to mind:
"Won't you be my neighbor"...LOL
Just beautiful!
Your post title had me wondering...moving? So soon?
I enjoyed the read, Anne but I enjoyed your quilt much more. It's gorgeous! WHat a great finish! Now, if I had the book, I think I'd make one too!
Congratulations to all of you!
OMG, Anne, both quilts are fabulous. applause, applause.
I enjoyed your journey right along with you. I was sitting in the cheap seats but I was cheering you on. LOL
YAHOOO I'm so excited for you - it turned out beautiful and so did Sandy's. I know this one was a struggle for you but you did it and it's a treasure. Congrats Peaches.
Hugs - Me
Oh wow! I'm kicking myself for not joining in on this one. I adore them all!
seeing the borders is really encouraging because the houses by themselves...well, lets say I am not feeling the love!
It looks just wonderful! I love it! Great job!!!
Everyone has done such a beautiful job on their quilts and I love yours, as well.
Debbie
Thank you Anne for being a great hostess and forcing the rest of us to finish! LOL
Great job! Both quilts are awesome. I should really try and get a clearer picture of mine but by the time the last berry was stitched, I was whacked!
Thanks again Anne:)
It's wonderful, so wonderful that I start one :)
Thanks for inspiration!
Love it, Anne! You've inspired me to go back and try this one again, but I'm going to give in and use the darker homespuns instead of the light and bright pastels I was playing with. Some of my stitchery friends want to make the quilt on the front of Primitive Quilts and Projects for Spring, but I like this one better, as far as house quilts go. You've done really well this past year with this and the Comfort and Joy quilt--great quilts to add to your "collection"!
Simply wonderful! Love house quilts (I've yet to attempt one), and this is right up at the top of the favorites list!
Everyone's houses look great. Thanks so much Anne! See ya soon.
Anne, your quilt turned out beautiful! I love it! It's been a fun trip, and I hope to get mine done sometime this year.
It is amazing Anne! It really does help to do it as a group. Its beautiful!!
Your quilt looks AMAZING!!! LOve the colours! Thanks so much for cracking the whip...I would have NEVER finished this one without the group!! This one really did take a village to make!! haha
You're the best!

Prettier than the one in the book....
it's wonderful!
Did I arrive late to the neighborhood?
Good luck on the moving! I am looking forward to seeing it finished and quilted too.
