House progress

They are moving right along with our new home construction.

Here’s the progress just a week ago.

We went over there yesterday and this is what we were thrilled to see.

Nice change in a week, huh?   Try clicking on the pictures to enlarge.  Hope they will enlarge for you.

A bit of the inside view.

But the best view of all…

This is the view I’ll have from my sewing nest.   I took it from the breakfast nook which will be directly under my room.  Will I get any sewing done?  Maybe at night. Smile

My room will be on the second story which the framer said they will start construction on tomorrow.   Trusses are scheduled to be delivered next Monday, so I should be able to get a good feeling for it this weekend.   Can’t wait!  I’m so anxious to see what it’s going to look like.

And the journey continues!

Hugs, Anne

That is so exciting, Anne!! I remember how exciting it was when you first start to see your home being built! Then the fun of making final selections!! Your view is gorgeous.

You are so lucky in America with regard to being able to buy land and build the home of your dreams- This is virtually impossible in the UK - if it does come up for sale you can bet your bottom dollar a developer will get it.
I can see you might only be able to sew at night with that view - It is spectacular!

That's so beautiful. You will have to be very determined if you want to actually sew!

Don't you just want to camp there for a night? Well...maybe when the weather is warmer (wink)! I love the pine tree in front! Great progress, Anne - when is the housewarming party?!
Cheers!

I am insanely jealous. INSANELY. I am trapped on the East coast with nary a real mountain in sight. I have told my husband (who will NOT move) that moment he drops dead I am heading west for a home with a view like that!

How fun! You live in such a beautiful area and your home will be so nice to see progress. We built our home 10 years ago. It was an amazing process...and ALOT of decisions! Your view from your sewing room is breathtaking.
Enjoy!

Very nice progress. Are you building just off of 15th? In the Phalisch new neighborhood? I was there in November and drove by. I ask a I have a friend that lives "just across the canal" from there. Can't wait to see the progress!

Anne - who wouldn't be able to sew bushels with a view like that. I'm happy to see your house moving along jus' like ours is. It is an adventure, isn't it? But one I feel very blessed to be on. Good luck with all your future projects! I do believe that sewing room is really gonna inspire you!

Wow! What a view. I think all I would need is a tree house with a large window and I would just sit day in and day out!
