Today when we drove up we saw that not only had they wrapped the house, but they had also started the siding.
and the window trim
and the stone work.
A close up…
Guys in the back working on the underside of the patio cover.
And inside on the electrical wiring and plumbing.
And, of course, I had to walk around the back and take a look up at my nest.
Yep, it’s still there. LOL
So, the question of the day is…
Who can tell me what this is?
I’ll be back next week with another update. I’m going to keep the house updates on posts by themselves because there are some friends of Mr. CnW who are looking at the blog just for the house pictures. I know they aren’t interested in the quilts and wool projects, right guys?
Hugs, Anne

Wow! Lots of progress has been made! It's looking so nice!
It is really looking great!
It is a tray so the guys can eat their lunch. LOL!!
My husband is a builder.I have no idea what that was in the pic.
The inside of the house is what takes forever to finish......Looks good so far.
The house looks great. Is that some kind of circle cutter? Maybe you can turn it upside down and use it as a pedestal dish?
Sue
kinda looks like an empty reel for wire - but they usually have a top and a bottom, don't they? i dunno - PLEASE tell me that you are gonna ask, cuz this is gonna bug me till i know what it is!
Fantastic Anne! Looks at the beautiful bly sky too! I hope it keeps up so your house can continue at such a quick pace.
Ohhh the stone work! I love that part. although I didn't see that piece when I was tromping around...my guess is that it is for the cute construction guys to set their coffee on...cause it was freezing cold!
Do I win a prize if I tell you what it is?? lol j/k It's what the electrician lays his wire roll on and it unrolls neatly. We own several. My hubby is a contractor. We use them quite regularly, considering we currently have 2 project houses and my shop is always a project, hehe. Your house looks great! Love the stonework!! Ohh and I love the sold sign in the window :) Good luck, it sometimes can be a stressful time, but you have the easy part, your contractor and hired guys do the work. My house, it's me and the hubby and our hired guy, so maybe it's not so stressful for you!! Good luck, it's shaping up nicely!
Looking good, Anne!
That's going to be a beautiful house! You must be incredibly excited!
Wow it looks like its going fast!!! Probably not to you right? That nest is going to be wonderful. xo
I can't believe the difference a week makes! You must be getting so excited, Anne! OK - I promise I haven't looked at any of the other comments....but I'd say it looks like that yellow cord behind it might have been wrapped on the contraption to keep it neat and tidy when the cord isn't being used? I'd love the play the Ask This Old House what is it game - I can just imagine what uses Richard, Tom, Kevin and Roger would come up with!
Cheers!
Your "nest" is coming along nicely. I can't believe I haven't been here visiting in the past several post.....I played catch up and thoroughly enjoyed seeing your wool projects....but seriously I'm looking forward to you "feathering" the new nest!
Looking good my friend, hopefully I'll see it soon. Still waiting on Dave to finalize our dates but we are all planning on it....they have gone so fast on your house, great benefit when you when the building economy is slow!!!!xoxoxo
Beautiful progress. HOw exciting to see the changes day to day.
I'm glad someone else knew that thing's purpose, I sure didn't!
Looks like it is coming along great! Looking forward to seeing the progress...when will the inside be ready to paint? I'd say a couple more months? Again, my friend is the contracted painter for your builder so I think that you will be happy with their work. Kevin and his crew do great work.
Michelle
It looks great now! Looking forward on its final outcome!
Your house looks wonderful, how fun to have a little nest on the second floor to look out and see the beautiful view as you sew.
