Home Tour - Kitchens

Thanks for all your input regarding the tour. I like the idea of showing just the kitchens and then the bathrooms (even though some of you don’t like bathrooms…Anne and Darlene…I could say something but I won’t!). And then I’ll finish up with some of the other fun things in the houses. How’s that?

Here we go. I’ll keep my comments to a minimum since you all know what kitchens are for!

This was my favorite kitchen and island. It’s huge!

018 The hood over the stove was custom done. It was gorgeous!

Check out this plate rack that was in the walk in pantry. How fun would that be to have?

This next picture is the butler’s pantry back there in far left of the picture above. I loved the finish on the cabinets. It's kind of a creamy buttery white/yellow with a dark stain on it.

005

This was a kitchen upstairs that they called a “mother in law suite”. Hey, SIL, did you hear that?010

028

This sink is copper.

029

And, doesn’t everyone need an outdoor kitchen?

030

So, that’s it for the kitchens. Some of the pictures are pretty dark because of all the wood in the houses. I tried to lighten them but then they got a bit grainy. Tomorrow…bathrooms.

Hey…did you notice my new banner?

Wool Garden Block 9

I can’t believe I’m keeping up with this one and have actually gotten each month finished before the next one arrives.  Hooray for me!   Can’t say the same about my Jan Patek Girl Gang, but that’s on my list for next week.  Yikes, now that I’ve said it….I better get movin!   Karen, are you caught up?  ROFL

001-1

002

This isn’t the right position for those last two blocks on the bottom, but it made for a better picture.

For the past 2 weekends, we’ve been going on the Central Oregon Builder’s Association Home Tour.   I’ve taken tons of pictures but not sure what to post.   Just the kitchens?  The fronts of the houses?  Bathrooms?   Hmmm, what would you like to see?    I don’t want to post so many that you get bored, so let me know.   We’re going to 2 more today.  One that is listed at over $3 million.    Wow, buying that one would take me having to get rid of a lot of fat packs!   LOL

The finale..I hope.

I thought I’d start this post with some of the charming little vignettes and scenery around town. Then finish (hopefully) with the quilts.

How cute is this?

Are you wondering if this is ever going to end? I sure am. Tee Hee

And these next 3 are by Barbara Copeland who is a local machine quilter. She was the featured machine quilter and has won a lot of awards. She doesn’t have a long arm. She quilts all her quilts on her home machine. It’s hard to see the quilting in the pictures, but trust me…she’s a very talented lady.

We were all drawn to this next one.

150

And a couple of “art” quilts for you contemporary quilters, although I doubt if any read my blog. LOL

I’m getting tired so I imagine you are too, but I was just wondering if anyone has the pattern for this hat! I just have to have one. ROFL.

So, that’s about it for the show this year. Hope you enjoyed your virtual visit and maybe I’ve convinced some of you to come out west and visit. It’s always on the 2nd Saturday in July and remember…it never rains! (oh Lordy, I hope I haven’t jinxed anything).

Thanks for hanging in there with me.
